FAQs
Do I need a consultation?
A consultation is recommended for microblading or powder brow if you are unsure of which eyebrow service you wish to receive.
A consultation is required for Areola Restoration.
A consultation and patch test is required for scar camouflaging if you have an ethnic skin type to ensure the healing process of the treatment does not cause hyperpigmentation or darkening of the skin.
A consultation and patch test is also recommended if you have an extensive allergy history.
Am I a good candidate for permanent makeup?
All ethnicities and skin types are great candidates for permanent makeup procedures. We may require a patch test for darker skin tones to ensure the healing process of the procedure does not cause any negative side effects.
Having an oily skin type may affect the length of time that your skin holds your permanent makeup results but typically that just means you will need a touch up more frequently than someone with less oily skin.
Anyone over the age of 18 can receive permanent makeup!
You are not a good candidate for permanent make-up services if any of the following apply to you:
Pregnant or Nursing Lupus Hepatitis B/C Active Skin Disorders AIDS Keloids Blood Disorders Uncontrolled Diabetes Accutane Current Cancer/ Chemotherapy
or any other active skin conditions that are not listed above.
Will it hurt?
Individual pain tolerance varies but generally most permanent make-up services have mild discomfort. We use numbing agents to help ease any discomfort you may feel during the treatment if needed.
What if I get cold sores?
Cold sores can be a nuisance when it comes to getting treatments on your face. We recommend contacting your doctor to start a prescription of Valtrex/Acyclovir to take the day prior, day of, and day after your treatment. This applies to any treatment of an area that you have had a cold sore previously.
How long will my treatment last?
Age, Skin type, lifestyle, & environment all factor into your individual results. Semi-permanent makeup typically lasts 2-5 years after your initial touchup.
How long does my appointment take?
Appointment times vary by treatment and Artist, but you can expect your appointment to last anywhere from 1-2 hours.
